Wayne Everette Cunningham Jr.

Wayne E. Cunningham, Jr., 77, of Silvis, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at his home.

Visitation will be 9:00-11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2026 at Sullivan- Ellis Mortuary, Ltd., East Moline. Inurnment will follow at The Rock Island National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Wayne Everette Cunningham, Jr. was born July 14, 1948 in Hannibal, Missouri; the son of Wayne Everette Cunningham, Sr. and Hazel (Williams) Cunningham.  He attended Moline High School.  Wayne was an Army Veteran,

 serving in Viet Nam in 1969.  He last worked as an over the road truck driver for Steward Motor Freight, retiring in 2015. Wayne married Lorrie Hulting September 1, 2023 in Rock Island. 

Wayne enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, golfing, and softball.  He loved cooking for family.  Wayne also enjoyed bowling and gambling.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lorrie L. Cunningham, Silvis, his son, Wayne E. (Bobbi) Cunningham III, Moline, his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Christian, and Jazmine Cunningham, his great grandchildren, Lilly, Rain, and Ellie Cunningham, and his brother, Charles E. Cunningham, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Hazel Cunningham, his son, Christopher Cunningham, his sister, Bonnie Brereton, his brothers, James Detoye, and Bob Harris.
